ConGlomeration’s 2019 General Fandom program lineup, directed by the Louisville Anime Community, includes:

  • Podcasts, podcasts, podcasts!

The programs listed below will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Louisville, KY during Easter weekend — April 19-21 — as part of ConGlomeration 2019.

Join our 2019 Author Guest of Honor Timothy Zahn and a panel of Star Wars enthusiasts to dissect the universe and find out what has made it what it is today.

VIEWING: “The Green Winter Project”

Preview the newest independent sci-fi web series from UNM Micro-Studios ANDtv. Half Firefly, a quarter Stargate SG-1 and just a dash of Mystery Science Theater 3000, The Green Winter Project has to be seen to be believed.

“ConGlomeration 2019 Opening Ceremonies and Guests of Honor Meet & Greet”

Join us in welcoming the 2019 Guests of Honor — including Author Timothy Zahn and Artist Winona Nelson — for our big Fandom Family Reunion. Come see who’s here and learn what we’ve got planned for this year’s festivities!

“What Would Thrawn Do?”

Grand Moff Tarkin did not believe the rebels could pose a threat to the Death Star, but what would Thrawn do? Darth Vader pursued the Millennium Falcon into an asteroid field, but what would Thrawn do? The Emperor allowed Luke Skywalker the use of his lightsaber during his captivity on the second Death Star, but what would Thrawn do? Join Author Guest of Honor and Grand Admiral Thrawn creator Timothy Zahn for a light- (or perhaps dark-) hearted commentary on various scenes of the Empire’s decision points from the perspective of Thrawn!

SCREENING: “Star Wars: Hand of the Empire

Created as a fundraiser for Norton Children’s Hospital and exhibited to rave reviews at Star Wars Celebration, this Lucasfilm-endorsed fan film depicts the conflict between a Rebel commandos, Imperial Stormtroopers and Mandalorian mercenaries as they race to retrieve a secret experiment sought by none other than Emperor Palpatine himself.

“Open Filking”

“Filking”? No, it is not illegal (mostly). Yes, it is a lot of fun. No, you don’t have to play an instrument or even carry a tune (Oh c’mon, I’ve heard Mark “sing”). Pull up a chair, or some floor and relax.

SIGMA is the science fiction think tank founded by Dr. Arlan Andrews, Sr., when he worked at the White House Science Office where 40 science fiction and game writers provide futurism consulting to the US government. Come listen to Dr. Andrews recount his experience with the organization.

Art Show items that have received three or more written bids go up for voice auction. Bid early and bid often! That art needs to come home with *you* and your bidding foes must be defeated! ConGlomeration Art Show Awards, themselves pieces of art, are given out at the midpoint of the auction.
