Announcing the ConGlomeration 2011 Featured Artist Scott Webb

If you were to ask Scott Webb about what he sees when he sculpts, he might answer that it is tough to put a finger on it. Yet, he would have no problem producing that same finger gnarled and possibly sporting an eyeball. Always on the go, Scott shifts wraith-like from place to place, dreaming up his next work. This could be a mutated, faceless angel with skinless, muscled wings or a demented spider-clown with a leering face and bony finger-legs, ready to crawl across the table.

Scott has been sculpting since he was a child and has pursued his art professionally for the past eight years. Polymer clay is his primary medium. He sometimes uses colored clays but mostly sculpts in a solid tone and then colors his pieces with combinations of paints & dyes. He has been well received at the World Horror Convention, World Fantasy Convention, Dragoncon, and has won the Best 3-Dimensional Award at ConGlomeration in 2001 and 2005.

Scott has been creating the awards for the ConGlomeration Art Show since 2002. He was also nominated for the prestigious ASFA Chesley Award in 2006 and 2007. His work has been collected by renowned authors, illustrators and collectors. He continues to demonstrate his ability to create pieces that are original and disturbing.
